The faida of choosing Katam and Henna isn't that it out-performs chemical dye. It's that you're following an authentic Sunnah practice — nothing more, nothing less. That is the whole point of this product.
Like any natural dye, colour fades faster than permanent chemical dye and needs reapplying on a regular basis to maintain. If your priority is following the Sunnah, that's a trade-off worth making. If your only priority is low-maintenance colour, we'd rather tell you that upfront than oversell it.
A Few Honest Notes Before You Buy
- Final colour depends heavily on your starting hair colour, percentage of grey, powder quality, processing time, and application method — results vary person to person.
- On dark or black hair, this mixture generally won't lighten the hair — it mainly adds a brown/red tone. It shows most clearly on grey or white hair.
- Katam is not indigo. If you've used indigo-based dyes before, expect a different, more reddish-brown result rather than a cool blue-black.
- This is a natural dye, not a permanent one — expect to reapply regularly to maintain colour, just as the Sunnah practice itself was a repeated habit, not a one-time treatment.

Is Katam the same as indigo?
No. Katam produces a reddish-brown to reddish-black tone; indigo leans cooler and more blue-black. They are different plants with different results.
Will this cover 100% grey hair?
Coverage depends on your percentage of grey, hair texture, and the ratio you choose. A higher katam ratio generally gives deeper, more complete-looking coverage on grey hair.
How long do I leave it on?
